Increase Web Site Traffic With Marketing
Increase Web Site Traffic in 3 Easy Steps
By Sean Ray
Many people erroneously think that “if I build it, they will come.” Simply not true. If you really want to increase web site traffic, you have to take active steps to bring visitors to your site and they all involve making sure people can find you. Three good ways of doing that are as follows:

Step One: Advertise your site. To increase web site traffic, send promotional emails, print advertising, pay-per-click (PPC) search engines, website advertising, or direct mail that drives visitors to your site. Use offers like “Visit www.yoursite.com to sign up, today!” or “Register now at www.yoursite.com.” The advantage is that advertising reaches a known marketplace. The disadvantage, of course, is that advertising costs money.
Step Two: A variation of the advertising approach, but less cash intensive way to increase web site traffic is to partner with other web site providers. Link exchanges: they link to you and you link to them. Choose partners that are relevant to the viewers you are trying to attract. Consider using tools like Arelis™ to help you find and obtain reciprocal links. When you get them, organize them on your site under a “partner” page.
Step Three: Of course, it is also possible to increase web site traffic simply by submitting your site to search engines using services like Priority Submit. It costs money, but they claim to have your web pages included in top search engines within 48 hours.
None of these steps is difficult to do, but they do take a concerted, goal-focused effort to increase web site traffic. Plan on doing all three!
